Hugues Carpentier
Head Of Training

Educated in France & the USA, he has been flying and teaching over 3 continents for more than 20 years. Hugues initially came to us as Chief Flight Instructor in 2013. When he decided to settle in Greece, the choice for the new Head of Training became obvious. He is a mandatory post-holder managing the ATO’s training as a whole and the delivery of its training programs, while ensuring compliance with EASA’s Part FCL and Part ORA.

He oversees the creation of syllabi, checklists, study guides & manuals and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to achieve the expected level of flight safety, training quality and discipline. He has been recruiting and managing our team of instructors assisted by our CFI and CTKI, ensuring standardization and training performance. He also actively participates in the selection programs of our airline partners.

Chief Flight Instructor

During his 35-year service in the Hellenic Airforce he accumulated over 4700hrs in fighter and training jets. He served in various positions in Greece and the USA as an instructor pilot, flight examiner, functional check flight pilot, fighter squadron commander and airbase commander.

As the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) his primary responsibilities are:
1. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the flying training course.
2. To supervise and manage the daily training activities of all cadets, in accordance with prescribed safety and quality principles.
3. To provide guidance to the flight instructors and ensure that flight training is delivered in an efficient and standardized manner.

Symeon Astreinidis
Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor

A retired Air Force’s Pilot carrying 38year service in the Hellenic Airforce, with more than 4500hrs in fighter and training jets. He served in various positions in Greece and the USA as a line pilot, instructor pilot, standardization examiner, training squadron commander and other command positions.

As the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) his primary responsibilities are:
1. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the academic’s training course.
2. To supervise and manage the daily training activities of all cadets, in accordance with prescribed safety and quality principles.
3. To provide guidance to the Theoretical Knowledge instructors and ensure that academics training is delivered in an efficient and standardized manner.

Comprehension of knowledge and soft skills improvement are essential part of creating successful pilots. Our Ground school motto is: EDUCATE THINKING COMMERCIAL PILOTS. Our TKI team can provide the extra mile in training.

An experienced director of Business Development and Facilities management with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation industry in Sales & Marketing as well as flight operations positions. He is skilled in the fields of Solar PV, Sales, B2C & B2B contracting, Flight Planning and Market Research. A strong business development professional with an MSc focused in Renewable Energy, Technology and Sustainability.

George is the head of both Sales & Marketing & Facilities management departments while he is responsible for B2B contracts as well as the development of new training bases, training methodology and business areas.
