
Airline Pilot Standards Multi Crew Cooperation (APS MCC)
The APS MCC course provides advanced swept wing jet aeroplane training through airline operations scenarios, to prepare pilots for their initial type rating training to the highest of the standards set by a commercial air transport operator.
Based on Competency – Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) the course focuses on the ICAO Core Competencies developing the technical and non-technical components of the knowledge, skills and attitude required to operate a multi-crew aircraft. Crew Resource Management is integrated into all practical exercises with Threat and Error Management principles embedded into the course instruction.
- Be an ICAO CPL/IR/ME (A) holder
- Alternatively, an EASA ATP(A) Integrated course cadet
- Demonstrate competence in the English Language (ICAO level 4)
Total duration of the course is 21 days (5 days off included).
- 35 hrs of Theory – 5 days
- 40 hrs – 11 sessions in the Simulator
Theoretical Training (day 1 to 5) includes:
- Emphasis on swept wing jet a/c systems – aerodynamics – performance -swept wing UPRT
- hot / high environment – cold weather operations
- EFIS – PFD – FMS set up / use – ATC – En route Navigation Procedures / Regional Navigation / PBN, CRM / TEM theory
- ICAO core Competencies Description / Performance Indicators / Observable Behaviors etc.
Simulator Training (There is always a pre – and de – briefing for each session):
- Advanced Swept Wing Jet Aeroplane Training – 12 hours
- MCC training – 20 hours
- (Airbus A-320) Advanced Airline Operations Scenario Training – 6 hours
- Final Assessment – 2 hours.
